The road home to Montepulciano

Winding down from Paris: a quiet moment on the Loire at Charité
Unexpected snowman making 15 minutes out of St-Etienne. The arctic Paris experience finally paid off.
Basking in the sun on the Mediterranean coast a couple of days later. By the time we got to Monte Carlo, we were showing signs of road-trip fatigue. Back in Italy, a bed-dinner-and-breakfast perched on the side of the steepest hill in the world between Bordighera and Ospedeletto helped us catch up on our rusty Italian.
We had planned a couple of nights in Pisa, but the hordes of tourists scared us off...so a quick climb of the tower, and the compulsory tourist photos we hightailed it for home in Montepulciano.
